Ingredients
Method
- Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Grease a large 9x13 inch casserole dish with olive oil or cooking spray.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, chicken broth, minced garlic, and Italian seasoning.
- Combine the uncooked penne, shredded chicken, and one cup of the parmesan cheese into the liquid mixture.
- Transfer the mixture into the prepared baking dish.
- Cover the dish tightly with aluminum foil.
- Bake for 25 minutes until the liquid is mostly absorbed.
- Remove the foil, then sprinkle the remaining parmesan and crumbled turkey bacon over the top.
- Broil for 3-5 minutes until the cheese is golden brown and bubbly.
Notes
Use freshly grated parmesan for better melting quality compared to pre-shredded cheese. You can substitute heavy cream with half-and-half for a lighter consistency. Ensure the dish is covered tightly to allow the pasta to steam properly in the sauce.
