- Heat the olive oil in a large deep skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add cubed chicken and sear for 5 minutes until golden brown, then set aside.
- Add minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for 30 seconds.
- Stir in the dry orzo and toast for 2 minutes.
- Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a simmer.
- Cook until most of the broth is absorbed and the orzo is al dente.
- Stir in the asparagus and the cooked chicken, cooking for another 3-4 minutes.
- Remove from heat and stir in the heavy cream and grated Parmesan cheese.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
Use a deep skillet to prevent splashing while adding broth. Ensure the orzo is toasted lightly to add a nutty flavor depth to the final dish. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
