Ingredients

  • 2 cans refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 2 cups cooked shredded chicken
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp dried parsley
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded chicken, 1/2 cup of the parmesan cheese, garlic powder, parsley, salt, and pepper.
  3. Mix until well combined.
  4. Separate the crescent roll dough into triangles.
  5. Place a generous tablespoon of the chicken mixture into the center of each triangle.
  6. Roll the dough tightly from the wide end to the point, tucking in the edges to seal.
  7. Place on the baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  8. While baking, heat the heavy cream and remaining 1/2 cup of parmesan in a small saucepan over low heat until thickened.
  9. Drizzle the sauce over the baked pillows before serving.

Notes

Ensure the cream cheese is at room temperature for a smoother filling. You can substitute dried parsley with 3 tablespoons of fresh chopped parsley. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and reheat in the oven to maintain the crust's crispness.
