Ingredients

  • 12 ounces wide egg noodles
  • 3 cups cooked chicken, shredded or diced
  • 2 cans cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 0.5 cup chicken broth
  • 4 slices turkey bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 0.5 cup panko breadcrumbs

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Boil a large pot of salted water and cook egg noodles until al dente.
  3. Drain the noodles thoroughly.
  4. In a large mixing bowl, combine the mushroom soup, sour cream, chicken broth, and half of the shredded cheese.
  5. Fold in the shredded chicken, crumbled turkey bacon, and cooked noodles until well coated.
  6. Transfer the mixture to a prepared casserole dish.
  7. Top with the remaining cheese and the panko breadcrumbs.
  8. Bake for 30 minutes until the casserole is bubbly and the top is golden brown.

Notes

Substitute cream of chicken soup for cream of mushroom if preferred. Using full-fat sour cream ensures the creamiest texture. Panko breadcrumbs are recommended for the best crunch on top.
