- Add the uncooked rice to the broth mixture and ensure it is submerged.
- Place the seared chicken back into the pan, distributing it evenly.
- Reduce heat to low, cover with a tight-fitting lid, and simmer for 20-25 minutes until the liquid is absorbed and rice is tender.
Notes
Use fresh minced garlic instead of garlic powder for a more aromatic flavor. Ensure the lid fits tightly to allow the rice to steam properly. For a lighter version, use low-fat cream of mushroom soup.
